The Ascend Denver Chapter is returning for a second year in the Dragon Boat Festival this year at Sloan’s Lake Park!  We’re out to take 1st place over our amazing 2nd place win in Division B last year! The 250m flag catching race will be held between Saturday/Sunday, July 22nd/23rd this year (specific day and time is TBD) and is very friendly to beginners (see link for additional information on the race and link to safety video).

Please register soon as this is a first-come, first-serve basis.

Important dates:

1. Additional formal practices (A coach will come with us) – all practices are at Sloan’s Lake, Denver:

• Practice #1: Saturday, June 17, 8AM to 10AM

• Practice #2: Thursday, June 22, 5PM to 7PM

• Practice #3: Sunday, July 9, 9AM to 10AM

• Practice #4: Thursday, July 13, 5PM to 7PM

• Practice #5: Saturday: July 15, 8AM to 10AM

2. Race Day: Sunday, July 23, an “all-day” commitment from approximately 7AM to 5PM
