The Ascend New York Metro Chapter will be racing in the Dragon Boat Festival at Flushing Meadows Corona Park! The Dragon Boat race will be held between Saturday/Sunday, Aug 12th/13th this year (specific day and time are TBD) and is very friendly to beginners (see link for additional information and link for race videos).

Please register soon as this is on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis.
Registration closes at 4 PM, Friday, Jul 28th.

Important dates:

1. Additional formal practices (A coach will come with us) – all practices are at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, NYC:

• Practice #1: Sunday, Jul 30, 10 AM to 12 AM

• Practice #2: Sunday, Aug 6, 10 AM to 12 AM

2. Race Day: Saturday, Aug 12, an “all-day” commitment from approximately 7 AM to 5 PM
