Emerging Leader Scholarship Award
Ascend Greater Washington is excited to relaunch its Emerging Leader Scholarship Award. The scholarship will award $1,000 to outstanding students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Fall 2026.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:
Be enrolled in an undergraduate program as of Fall 2026
Reside within the Greater Washington area (defined as within the confines of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland)
Maintain a 3.0 minimum GPA
Be an Ascend member at the time the award is granted; student membership is available at no cost
Student chapter leadership is preferred, though not required.

Scholarship aid may be used only for the payment of expenses that directly relate to obtaining a higher education degree (e.g.; tuition, fees, and/or books and materials).
Payments are sent directly to the student's financial aid office/academic institution on behalf of the student. Aid shall not be used for room and board. -
