Ascend's Inspiring Across Generations (IAG) regional conferences gather our corporate and community partners for a day of leadership, mentorship and relationship development programs providing insight and benefits for both students and seasoned professionals. These conferences also provide networking opportunities for leaders, professionals and students at the local level.
Ascend New England's IAG Conference uses this year's theme of "Moving Forward with Purpose" to help participants reflect on purpose not as a fixed personal statement, but as an evolving practice that shapes how they make decisions, build careers, lead teams, and collaborate across differences. The conference creates space for students, professionals, and leaders to ask: What matters to me now? How do I stay connected to that purpose when I face pressure, conflict, uncertainty, or competing expectations? And how do we move forward together when our goals, identities, roles, and perspectives are not always aligned?
The conference will move through four stages:
Arrive: What does purpose mean to me right now?
Align: How does purpose show up in my career, performance, or leadership?
Examine: What blind spots, assumptions, or fears stop me from acting on purpose?
Move: How do I collaborate across differences and take one purposeful next step?
By the end of the conference, participants will leave with a clearer sense of their own purpose, a deeper understanding of the internal and external barriers that can prevent purposeful action, and concrete practices for moving forward with others in ways that are reflective, courageous, and collaborative.
